My latest art project

So I've decided that my art career is lagging way too far behind my already established design career so I've become inspired to give my art a helping hand.

Last year I read the book and saw the movie 'Julie and Julia' and was inspired by that story to come up with my own project. This idea has been brewing for a while but it's been one of those ones I just haven't got around to.  The book is a true story about a woman called Julie living in New York in 2000 wanting to learn to cook properly and coming up with the idea of cooking every single recipe from the 1950's book Mastering the Art of French Cooking written by Julia Child. Julie sets a year long task to cook every recipe from the book as well as blog about it. So I was inspired to create my own little art project - with a weekly deadline, eek -  i'm going to do a drawing per week (I orginally planned on doing more but what with my baby girl keeping me rather busy i thought it best not to over burden myself) -  then i'll upload it to my blog, well, my diary as I like to call it. The idea is that they are just super quick drawings, of anything, my dog, a tree in my backyard, an idea for a children's character, a scribble, just anything really that gets me in the habit of producing art again. This is one serious commitment I'm determined to keep and I figured putting it out there for everyone to watch me progress is enough motivation to keep going at it.

I thought i could cut myself some slack though and not have a permanent day i have to have it up by - just at some point during the week - this will allow me to have days that i can't get anything done because i'm just to full on with Zoe. Wish me luck!
