The design was the easy part, I then needed to find a paper stock that would print well digitally as well as providing a sophisiticated texture to the piece. Printing digitally means you are limited to the choice of paper stocks and weights you can use - printing off set gives you a vast choice but as plates are being made and the printing process is a much longer one it means for small jobs like this the cost is prohibitive. After some paper stock and colour testing the perfect stock was found and the client was thrilled. I continue to receive great feedback and interest in this piece when I show it to prospective clients.

I created this piece while working at my previous job as a Senior Designer at Fluid Visual Communications. The nature of the exclusive boutique Eichardt's Hotel on the lakefront in Queenstown dictated that this design needed to be simple yet elegant and stylish. Only a small quantity of holders were needed so the job had to be printed digitally, to have it printed off set would have been too expensive.
